How To Stain Concrete Floors-Concrete Stain-Do It Yourself Concrete Stain
www.concrete-floor-stains.com How to stain concrete floors-this video will give you a detailed step by step guide to acid staining your concrete floors for less then $0.50 sq. ft.
can you do this in a basement?
@ToBigWillie
The Envirostains grey (TL) may give you the antiquing effects you want but using powder is always a viable alternative but will not give you the antiquing look that puddles in the veins and creates that natural stone look
I have a small covered front porch (6′ x 6′)that I’m planning on overlaying with 1 1/2 to 2″ of redi-mix portland then freehand stamp a “cobblestone” or “paverstone” look on it. I want the “rustic” look as opposed to a smooth finish. The existing rocks in my landscaping are various shades of grey which I would like to mirror image on my porch. Would I be better off using a powder stain as opposed to an acid stain? remember, a variation in color scheme is what I’m going for. Thx in advance. Troy
@HerrDoktorBrown
Thank you sir

Then what you are planning to put down is basically a paint and if so then a primer would probably be a good idea but make sure to etch the surface in order to get a proper bond
If you are going to be in a high traffic area don’t expect your”concrete stain” to last too long
Hope that helps
There are far too few videos of this quality and utility on the u(seless)tube — thank you ever so much!
@jkgroom187 i was planning not to do an acid wash
@rickymewis1983
I personally have never heard of or used any kind of a primer with an acid stain as a primer would not allow the acid stain to penetrate the concrete and therefore react with the concrete to create the color change needed
can you put a primer down to start to cover things that might not come up when cleaning i seen it done in another video just curious on anyones input
Very clear and helpful step by step directions!
We are half way through with the stain in a 2400 sq foot home. We applied the sealer with a sprayer. Spraying enough to cover, it became very thick and had little bubbles all through it. We hope they will be gone in the morning!! Any suggestions?
awesome vid
I now feel confident that I can do this to my small room!
